Scottish Rite Tough Mudder
The Capital Area Scottish Rite Tough Mudder Team took on the Capital Region Tough Mudder Event in West Virginia on September 27 and 28, 2014.
The Scottish Rite Tough Mudder Team took the mountain on August 16, 2014 at Lake Tahoe, CA. All 5 team members from 2013 returned and 8 new members were added for 2014. Tough Mudder obstacle courses are designed to test all-around strength, stamina, teamwork, and mental grit. The courses are designed by former British Special Forces. The Lake Tahoe course included 20+ obstacles. The returning Scottish Rite Team Members from 2013 navigated an additional one-mile added to the course, with several additional obstacles, which earned them the right to receive and wear a different colored headband that distinguishes them from first time participants. The Tough Mudder event is billed as “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet.”
Although these are very grueling events, they are also fun events. In keeping with our mission of camaraderie, education, fellowship, brotherhood, and fraternity we invite you to come join us on the mountain as a spectator. We will be forming teams to compete again in 2015. If you would like to form a team or, for more information on the Scottish Rite Tough Mudder program, please email membership@scottishrite.org
